Serving Public Servants
Beacon Consulting Group LLC was founded to bridge the gap between youth-serving institutions, agencies, and organizations, and vulnerable/underserved populations. While these important pillars of our communities share space in the business of helping others, many encounter barriers that inhibit progress toward their missions. Beacon Consulting Group aims to help the helpers in our community by offering innovative, affordable training products, program evaluation services, and nonprofit capacity building assistance.
Jonathan W. Glenn, Ph.D.
Founder and President
Jonathan W. Glenn, Ph.D. is a native and lifelong resident of Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Glenn earned his Baccalaureate and Masters degrees in criminal justice from Saint Augustine’s University and North Carolina Central University, respectively. Dr. Glenn earned his doctoral degree in criminal justice from Nova Southeastern University. His professional experience includes full-time teaching and research appointments at two universities, public service roles with the Wake County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, and the Juvenile Justice Planning Committee’s subcommittee on Racial and Ethnic Disparities. Dr. Glenn’s research interests include schools and criminal justice, punitive social control, and community justice.
